NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT
TROUT UNLIMITED - 009

STATE

Welcome

The Trout Unlimited mission is to conserve, protect and restore North Americas trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds.

Our chapter goal, simply, is to improve the local habitat to maximize its potential. We do this by working closely with the CT DEP, the Army Corps of Engineers local government officials, as well as other local organizations.

Start of a new season and our annual picnic at the pavilion, Peoples State Forest in Barkhamsted on East River Rd.
Start at 9:00 AM till....

Good food, good company, come join us, bring your rod and do some fishing too.

As good as it gets. Friends sharing work, play, camaraderie and teaching others this great sport of ours while endeavoring to improve the environment.

Please visit each page to see what we do, the fun we have and consider attending some of our meetings, you may find you like it and join us each month.

Remember, you don't have to be a member to attend our meetings. Everyone is welcome.

We as a chapter have been in existence since 1963, serving the Northwest corner of CT. Our primary area of focus is the upper Housatonic watershed. This includes a special interest in the Naugatuck River which was once so polluted it virtually supported no life. Today, the upper Naugatuck is home to numerous species, including native brook trout and wild brown trout.
